My dear friend Amelia over at the blog Mungai and the Goa Constrictor has nominated me for the award above. Amelia is an author of and also reviews children’s books. Her own children’s book “Mungai and the Goa Constrictor” is a tale best described in the review of Peter Schreiner “CrowDogs” *****
Amelia Curzon, brilliantly and entertainingly brings to life an array of wildlife endued with human characteristics of good and evil, duplicity and naivety. I best compare it to George Orwell’s Animal Farm but with a cast of different animal species and a refreshing originality set in time relevant to today’s environmental concern.
The tale eloquently demonstrates the hazards of a hasty and misplaced trust, and the moral that a cleverly disguised and shrewdly presented deception on the onset may appear trustworthy and desirable; and will continue so as long as we indulgently convince ourselves it is so. And, then the difficultly of exposing the deception to those taken in.
An enjoyable tale for all ages with an important lesson on life you’re never too young, or old, to learn.
Amelias new book “Mungai Most Wanted” is coming soon. She also features a daily endangered species fact attack.
