Naturvårdsverket bör kunna ställa rimliga krav på renskötarna när det gäller samexistens med varg. Att skjuta den genetiskt värdefulla vargtiken i Junsele visar tydligt myndighetens undfallenhet. Idag ska förvaltningsrätten avgöra vargens öde, skriver Ann Dahlerus, generalsekreterare Svenska Rovdjursföreningen.

Please urge your senators to support Sen. Fred Risser’s Senate Bill 93 to remove the use of dogs from killing wolves. Ask your representatives to support the Assembly version, AB 94, and oppose AB 137 on killing woodchucks.
The sooner the better. It just takes a few minutes. Make sure they get your name and address and register your statement to convey to your legislators. Ask for the position that your legislator takes on these issues, and ask for a call back to tell you that position when they take one. Make them accountable to you!

Wisconsin Wildlife Ethic-Vote Our Wildlife
When I first read the headline a week ago about an American trophy “hunter” that received approval from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to import the dead body of a HIGHLY ENDANGERED black rhino that he slaughtered in Africa any aith that I had left in our president concerning wildlife disappeared. Even less surprising is that the wealthy trophy killer hails from the kill everything state of Wisconsin. Not content being able to kill just about every living creature in Wisconsin, David Reinke, traveled to Namibia in 2009 to kill a HIGHLY ENDANGERED black rhino all under the guise of “conservation.” Not content just using the ridiculous “conservation” argument this guy even had the nerve to claim that he was “saving” other rhinos from being injured by killing the 34 year old male rhino. I didn’t know whether to laugh or vomit when I read Reinke trying to justify killing this highly endangered…

Here are other numbers to call that may be more receptive, a big thanks to Louise K. for supplying them. And still continue to call Sally Jewell and the Interior, they need to hear from us.
It may seem the Interior and USFWS are turning a deaf ear to your calls and emails but believe me they’re listening. It’s our job to call and make noise, remember “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”, don’t be discouraged. Email, call and snail mail them. We cannot allow this to stand. Wolves need the protection of the ESA as Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan have firmly shown us. What did these states do as soon as wolves lost their protections? ORGANIZED WOLF HUNTS!! Their actions speak for themselves and are the best examples of why wolves MUST be protected from brutal state fish and game agency “management”!.
